What it does
-
Work with banking data and payments through shared business operations. Read accounts, balances, transactions, and holdings; initiate transfers and direct debits; manage standing orders; and handle prepaid top-ups without building a separate integration for every bank connection.
-
Connect across traditional bank protocols and provider APIs. FinTS 3.0, FinTS 4.1, and EBICS cover direct bank connectivity. Revolut and Wise extend the same product to modern provider APIs.
-
Continue approval workflows instead of restarting them. Transaction authentication number (TAN), decoupled approval, and Verification of Payee workflows can survive an operator wait or process restart. Resume material is encrypted at rest and returned through one continuation model.
-
Keep connection-specific details behind clear boundaries. Applications use shared profiles, results, and capability discovery while each protocol or provider owns its authentication, message formats, and error details.
-
Embed it or automate it. A native C interface supports applications and language bindings; the
glncommand line exposes the same workflows as structured JSON on Linux, macOS, Windows, and FreeBSD.
Architecture, library and CLI references, and protocol guides live under galanthus documentation.
